Find Your Dog's Behavior Problem and the Program That Fixes It
Barking, lunging, guarding, bolting, anxiety, whatever your dog is doing, it has a name and a path forward. Browse the behavior that matches yours and see exactly which program helps.
How do I know which dog behavior problem I'm dealing with?
The Partners Dogs behavior library sorts common dog problems into five groups, aggression, anxiety, reactivity, obedience, and bad habits, and maps each one to the program that resolves it. Aggression and bite-related cases point toward Transform or Behavior Camp; anxiety and reactivity often start with Behavior Camp or private lessons; everyday obedience and nuisance habits respond fast to structured training. After 28+ years and 70,000+ dogs, we've learned that naming the behavior accurately is the first step to fixing it, so start here, then let an honest assessment confirm the plan.
START WITH THE BEHAVIOR
Find Your Dog's Problem, Then the Path That Fixes It
- Reactivity and leash reactivity The barking, lunging, and spinning at other dogs or people, the walks you have started to dread. Our reactivity intensive and Behavior Camp rebuild calm so a walk feels like a walk again. Also see Behavior Camp.
- Aggression or a bite history Growling, snapping, or a dog that has already bitten. This is the deep end, and Transform Camp is our most intensive residential program for it, after an honest evaluation of what is realistic.
- Anxiety and fear A dog that shuts down, paces, panics at the door, or cannot settle when alone. Behavior Camp builds confidence in a calm, predictable place, and private lessons coach you through the home piece.
- Resource guarding Stiffening or snapping over food, toys, beds, or people. Guarding is common and very trainable, and Behavior Camp gives your dog the structured work it needs to relax around what it values.
- Leash pulling, jumping, and manners Pulling your arm off, jumping on guests, ignoring you outdoors. Structured Group Classes and private lessons turn the daily chaos into a dog you can take anywhere.
- Puppy foundations Get it right the first time. Early socialization and clear house rules now prevent most of the problems above from ever starting.
Family-owned since 1997. 70,000+ dogs trained. 4.9 stars across roughly 2,000 reviews. Two Arizona campuses, Scottsdale and Cave Creek.

SOUND FAMILIAR?
Match the Moment You Keep Living
- You cross the street to avoid other dogs. The walk has become a stress route planned around triggers. That is reactivity, and it is one of the most fixable things we see. See the reactivity intensive
- You warn guests before they come in. The lunging, the noise, the worry that today is the day. A real evaluation tells you exactly how serious it is and what is realistic. Take the PD360 assessment
- You tiptoe around the food bowl or the couch. Guarding makes a home feel tense. Structured work teaches your dog there is nothing to defend. Explore Behavior Camp
- You cannot leave the house in peace. The pacing, the panic, the destruction when you go. We build confidence step by step so your dog can settle. Explore Behavior Camp

HOW WE THINK ABOUT BEHAVIOR
We Read the Dog First, Then Choose the Plan
Partners Dogs is balanced and tool-agnostic. We do not pre-commit to one method or one piece of equipment, because after 28+ years and 70,000+ dogs we have never found a single approach that fits every dog. We use the technique that actually helps the animal in front of us and that you can keep up long after the program ends.
Every plan starts with an honest assessment, not a sales pitch. We tell you what is realistic, give you a clear prognosis, and never promise miracles. When a problem looks rooted in pain, illness, or brain chemistry rather than training, we will say so and refer you to a veterinary behaviorist, because the right help sometimes starts at the vet.
The goal is never a list of tricks. It is a calm, safe dog and a normal life back, a dog you can walk, host around, and relax with.
OUR PROCESS
Honest Assessment First, Every Time
We evaluate. The PD360 assessment is where we meet your dog, watch the real behavior, and find the root cause instead of guessing from a symptom.
We tell you the truth. You get a clear prognosis and a straight answer on what is realistic. Some dogs are fully rehabilitated, some are significantly improved, and we will never oversell either.
We rule out medicine when it matters. If pain, illness, or brain chemistry looks like the real driver, we refer you to a veterinary behaviorist first. Training cannot fix a medical problem, and we will not pretend it can.
We map the plan. From there we point you to the right program, whether that is a reactivity intensive, a residential camp, private coaching, or a structured class, and we set expectations you can trust.

Frequently Asked Questions
My dog lunges and barks at other dogs, is that aggression or reactivity?
Most leash lunging and barking is reactivity, an over-the-top emotional response, not true aggression. Both are trainable; an assessment tells us the root cause and whether private lessons or Behavior Camp is the better fit.
Can an aggressive dog ever be trusted again?
Many can be significantly improved, and some fully rehabilitated, through our Transform Camp. We never promise miracles, we give you an honest prognosis after evaluating your dog.
