Dog Training in Scottsdale and Cave Creek, AZ

Partners Dogs is Arizona's family-owned dog training school, founded in 1997 with campuses in Scottsdale and Cave Creek. Over 28 years we have trained more than 70,000 dogs through immersive board and train camps, DaySchool and daycare, boarding, private lessons, group classes, and rattlesnake avoidance. Our trainers are balanced and tool-agnostic, so we use what actually works for your dog and coach you to keep it going at home.

The Dogs Other Trainers Turned Away

If your dog lunges, growls, snaps, or has already bitten, you are not a bad owner and you are not out of options. For more than 28 years we have taken the cases other trainers turn down, through our Behavior Camp and Transform Camp. No judgment, just an honest plan for what is possible.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO WORK ON?

Programs for Every Goal, Every Dog

From a brand-new puppy to a serious behavior case, every Partners program runs at both campuses. Pick the path that fits your dog, or talk to a trainer and we will help you decide.

New Puppy?

The first few months shape everything. Early socialization and clear foundations prevent most of the problems we see later. Start your puppy strong with Foundation Camp or our Pre-School Puppy class.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right program for my dog?

Start with our quiz or a quick call with our team. We match your dog's behavior, goals, and timeline to the best-fit program, whether that is Foundation Camp, Behavior Camp, Transform Camp, or DaySchool. For current pricing on every program, see our pricing page.

Do you work with serious behavior issues?

Yes. We support everything from basic manners to severe reactivity and aggression. Behavior Camp handles reactivity, anxiety, and destructive behavior. Transform Camp is built for the toughest cases, including bite histories and outward aggression, the cases other trainers will not take.

What age should I start training my puppy?

You can start foundational training at home as early as 8 weeks, and most puppies are ready for a structured program by around six months once their vaccinations are complete. The earlier you start, the easier it is to build good habits before problems take root. We also offer Pre-School Puppy group classes for younger pups.

Is board and train worth it?

For most families it is the most effective investment they can make in their dog's behavior and their own quality of life. Your dog gets multiple professional training sessions every day, and the included private lessons and group classes make sure the training transfers to you so it lasts at home.

Do you use e-collars or other tools?

Yes. We are balanced and tool-agnostic, using e-collars, prong collars, slip leads, treats, clickers, and place training when they are the right fit for the dog, the behavior, and the family. Tools do not cause harm, people do. What matters is the trainer's skill, timing, and intent. If you have questions about a specific tool, schedule a free consultation.

Can I tour before enrolling?

Yes. Contact us and we can walk you through our Scottsdale or Cave Creek campus, the process, and the program options before you commit.
