Foundation Camp · Board & Train
The 14-Night Board & Train That Sends Home a Calmer, Listening Dog
Your puppy or young dog lives and trains with our team for 14 nights and comes home with the obedience and manners you have been trying to build for months. Then we teach you how to keep it. A $100 deposit holds your dog's spot.
What is Foundation Camp?
Foundation Camp is Partners Dog School's 14-night board-and-train program for puppies and dogs who need reliable obedience and everyday manners. Your dog learns Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Place, and Watch through two-plus structured sessions a day, then a transition lesson and group classes hand the training off to you. It's the focused reset that replaces months of inconsistent progress at home.
Family-owned since 1997. 70,000+ dogs trained. 4.8 stars across 2,000+ reviews. Two Arizona campuses, Scottsdale and Cave Creek.

WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE CAMP
The Manners You Have Been Trying to Build for Months, in 14 Days
You have watched the videos, tried the treats, and repeated the cues until you are blue in the face. The pulling, the jumping, the not-listening-the-second-it-matters: it wears you down. Foundation Camp takes the daily grind off your plate. Your dog lives and learns with our trainers for fourteen days and comes home with the obedience that finally makes ordinary life calm again, walks, guests, mealtimes, the front door.
THE RIGHT FIT
Is Foundation Camp Right for Your Dog?
A great fit: puppies 6 months and up, adolescents with too much energy and not enough manners, and adopted adult dogs who never learned the basics. If the problem is pulling, jumping, ignoring you, or chaos at the front door, this is your program.
Under 6 months? Start with our Pre-School Puppy classes, then come to camp when your pup is ready.
Reactivity, fear, or aggression in the mix? Behavior Camp goes after the root cause with a longer 21-night stay. The most serious cases start with Transform Camp.
Cannot be away from your dog for two weeks? DaySchool builds the same skills day by day while your dog still comes home every night.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Everything Foundation Camp Includes
- 14 nights of all-day immersive training. Your dog lives on campus and works multiple structured sessions a day, then practices calm in between. Repetition is what makes the obedience stick.
- A PD360 check-in and custom plan. Before the work starts we read your dog's temperament, history, and your goals, then build the plan around your actual dog.
- 3.5 hours of private family lessons. The training only matters if it transfers to you. We coach you through real scenarios so you can hold the line at home.
- 16 DaySchool reinforcement days. Built-in follow-up so the new habits hold once your dog is back in your routine.
- 8 Pet Parenting group classes. Ongoing practice with our instructors so progress keeps compounding.
- A video demo and a transition lesson. You see exactly what your dog learned and how to keep it going.
- Free access to the online Pet Parent Guide. Your reference for everything we teach.

A DAY AT CAMP
Immersive Training, All Day Long
Foundation Camp is built for puppies, adolescents, and any dog that needs everyday manners reset. Your dog trains on the floor, rests in a comfortable kennel between sessions, and earns play time as a reward. It is structure and warmth, not a warehouse.
SEE FOR YOURSELF
Step Inside Both Campuses
Take a walk through the same training floors and boarding suites your dog will live in. Foundation Camp runs at both Arizona campuses: Scottsdale at 8642 E Shea Blvd in the Pima Crossings Center at Shea and the 101, and Cave Creek at 4640 E Forest Pleasant Pl, one block north of Lone Mountain and Cave Creek Road.

WHY PARTNERS
Board and Train Run by Career Dog Trainers
28 years and 70,000+ dogs. Family-owned since 1997, with a combined century of training experience on our team. We have seen your dog's challenge before, and solved it.
Balanced, fair, and consistent. Clear expectations and real accountability, matched to your dog's temperament. No gimmicks, no one-size-fits-all script.
Every shape, size, and problem. From bouncy puppies to stubborn adolescents, we tailor the plan to the dog in front of us.
90% of the job is training you. We can teach your dog anything; the lasting change comes from handing the skills to you. That is why family lessons are built in.
HOW IT WORKS
How Foundation Camp Works
Assessment and check-in. We start with an introductory lesson at our Scottsdale or Cave Creek campus. You meet us and see how we train, we meet your dog, collect vaccination records and history, and lock in your goals so training stays consistent.
Training and weekly demos. Your dog works structured sessions every day with a pro trainer and practices calm in a crate on the training floor in between, what we call modeling, plus supervised play. Once a week you come in for a 30 to 60 minute demo so you can see the progress and start learning the handling.
Transition to you. The most important step. Over a private lesson and your Pet Parenting classes, we teach you to maintain every behavior we built, so the calm comes home and stays home.
THE OUTCOME
What Comes Home After 14 Days
- A dog that listens when it counts. Sit, down, place, come, and a stay that holds through the doorbell, dinner, and guests.
- Walks you look forward to. Loose-leash walking instead of being dragged down the block.
- A calmer home. Less jumping, less chaos at the door, more of the dog you hoped for.
REAL FAMILIES, REAL DOGS
What Camp Families Say
Every camp ends with a demo and a transition lesson, but the reviews tell the story best.
"Partners Dogs 2-Week Camp was worth every penny! Nicole at the Scottsdale location was amazing and went above and beyond! Bella came home with a strong heel, sit, down, hit your spot (place), and recall."
Linda P., Google review
"Always a great dog training experience! I've been taking my Husky named Cash to Partners for over a year, for boarding, training, and grooming! Their behavior training probably saved his life!"

Reserving is simple: a $100 deposit holds your spot, 50% is due at check-in, and the balance is paid at pickup. A standard kennel option is available at our Cave Creek campus. Financing is available if you would rather spread it out. And if we are not seeing trajectory after the first 30 days, we adjust the plan at no extra cost or issue store credit on the unused portion.
OUR COMMITMENT
Our Commitment to You and Your Dog
Health and safety first. Vaccinations verified for every dog, pet CPR trained staff, and some of the strictest cleaning protocols in the valley.
You stay in the loop. Weekly demo sessions and progress updates so you always know how your dog is doing and what comes next.
Watched over around the clock. Low staff-to-dog ratios, overnight on-site staff in Scottsdale, and an owner living on the Cave Creek property.
We finish the job. The transition lessons and follow-up school are built in because our work is not done until the training is yours.
THE SMART MOVE
Members Pay Far Less
The best-value move: pair camp with a membership. If you enroll in a Plus, Premium, or Platinum membership, two things happen:
- Your membership already covers the follow-up school (16 DaySchool Days, a $899 value), so you don't pay for it inside camp.
- You also get an extra member discount, 10% (Plus), 20% (Premium), or 30% (Platinum), on the camp itself.
Net effect: Foundation Camp w/ Suites effectively comes out to about $1,972 with Plus, $1,808 with Premium, or $1,669 with Platinum, instead of $3,509, and you keep the ongoing membership benefits afterward. It's the most bang for your buck.
Not Sure Which Camp Fits?
Not sure Foundation Camp is the right starting point? A PD360 assessment gives you an honest, no-pressure read on which program fits your dog. Behavior or fear in the mix? Look at Behavior Camp or Transform Camp. Want training built into your dog's week instead? See DaySchool.
