    Our Classes & Events

Something for Every Dog (and Every Schedule)

Whether you just brought home a new dog or you are working toward a Canine Good Citizen title, we run group classes every week at both our Scottsdale and Cave Creek campuses. We also offer seasonal rattlesnake avoidance clinics from mid-March through October, a smart investment for any Arizona dog, along with specialty workshops throughout the year.

All group classes are taught by professional trainers using the same balanced methodology that drives every Partners Dogs program. Class sizes are kept small so your dog gets real attention, and every session gives you something to keep building at home between classes.

    Event Categories

Beyond weekly group classes, Partners Dog School runs seasonal clinics, Canine Good Citizen prep, and specialty workshops. Here is what to look for. For live dates and open spots, always check your campus schedule page below or get in touch.

    Rattlesnake Avoidance Clinics

    Seasonal • mid-March through October

One of Arizona's most valuable training investments. Our rattlesnake avoidance clinics use live, safely muzzled rattlesnakes to teach your dog a life-saving aversion response. Dogs learn to recognize the sight, sound, and scent of rattlesnakes and to avoid them instinctively. We run clinics at both campuses throughout the season. Annual refreshers are recommended, since dogs hold the aversion better with yearly reinforcement, and spots fill quickly.

    Canine Good Citizen Prep

    Open to all dogs

The AKC Canine Good Citizen program is the gold standard for well-mannered dogs. Our CGC Prep helps your dog master the core skills the program looks for, including accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting, walking through a crowd, and coming when called. Our CGC Prep class is the best way to build toward it, and it is open to any dog and handler team.

    Seasonal Workshops

Throughout the year • Varies by event

We host specialty workshops throughout the year to keep training fun and community-focused. Past events have included trick training workshops, trail manners hikes, and community activities. Follow us on social media or reach out to hear when new events are announced.

What to Bring to Your First Class

    • A flat collar or front-clip harness, your trainer will advise on the best fit at your first session
    • High-value training treats, small, soft, and something your dog loves (hot dogs, cheese, or commercial training treats work great)
    • A treat pouch or small bag, keeps treats accessible and your hands free
    • Water and a portable bowl, especially important for Arizona's warm months
    • Proof of current vaccinations, required for all group class participants (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella)
    • Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, many classes include outdoor work
    • Patience and a good attitude, your dog will feed off your energy, and the first class is about building a foundation, not perfection
