    Our Classes & Events

Something for Every Dog (and Every Schedule)

Whether you just brought home a new puppy or you're working toward a Canine Good Citizen title, we run group classes every week at both our Scottsdale and Cave Creek locations. We also offer seasonal rattlesnake avoidance clinics in the spring and fall, a must for any Arizona dog, along with specialty workshops and community events throughout the year.

All group classes are taught by professional trainers using the same balanced methodology that drives every Partners Dogs program. Class sizes are kept small so your dog gets real attention, and every session includes homework so you can keep building at home between classes.

    Upcoming Events & Special Programs

Beyond our weekly class schedule, Partners Dog School hosts seasonal clinics, community events, and special testing days throughout the year. Here is what to look for:

    Rattlesnake Avoidance Clinics

    Seasonal • March through October

One of Arizona's most critical training investments. Our rattlesnake avoidance clinics use live, safely muzzled rattlesnakes to teach your dog a life-saving aversion response. Dogs learn to recognize the sight, sound, and scent of rattlesnakes and avoid them instinctively. Each session takes approximately 15-20 minutes per dog. We run clinics at both locations throughout snake season, with the busiest months in March-May and September-October. Annual refreshers are strongly recommended, dogs retain the aversion better with yearly reinforcement. Spots fill up fast, especially in spring.

    Puppy Socials

Monthly • Free for enrolled clients

Supervised, off-leash socialization sessions for puppies under 6 months, held monthly at both locations. Puppy Socials give young dogs a safe, controlled environment to practice greeting other dogs, build confidence around new people and surfaces, and learn early impulse control in a group setting. A trainer supervises every session to ensure positive interactions and coach owners on reading puppy body language. These events are free for currently enrolled clients and are one of the best ways to give your puppy a strong social foundation during the critical socialization window.

    CGC Testing Days

Quarterly • Open to all dogs

The AKC Canine Good Citizen test is the gold standard for well-mannered dogs. We host official CGC testing days quarterly at our Scottsdale location, administered by our AKC-certified evaluators. The test covers 10 skills including accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting, walking through a crowd, and coming when called. Dogs who pass earn the official CGC title. Our CGC Prep class is the best way to prepare, but testing is open to any dog and handler team, you do not need to have trained with us to take the test.

    Holiday & Seasonal Workshops

Throughout the year • Varies by event

From summer splash days to holiday-themed training workshops, we host special events throughout the year to keep training fun and community-focused. Past events have included trick training workshops, trail manners hikes, holiday photo sessions with your dog, and community adoption days in partnership with local rescues. Follow us on social media or sign up for our email list to get notified when new events are announced.
