What is Partners Dogs University?
Partners Dogs University (PDU) is the trainer education standard at Partners Dogs, and it is the same at our Scottsdale and Cave Creek campuses. It sets three bars: 30 hours of coursework before facility work, 1,000 supervised hours to reach Instructor, and 2,000 hours across breeds and behaviors to reach Senior Instructor.
FOUR STAGES
How a Partners Dogs Trainer Moves Up
The standard is written as hours, so anyone can see what each step means.
- Coursework. 30 hours of coursework come first, before facility work.
- Supervised hours. Facility work is supervised, and the hours build toward Instructor.
- Instructor. A trainer reaches Instructor at 1,000 supervised hours.
- Senior Instructor. A trainer reaches Senior Instructor at 2,000 hours across breeds and behaviors.
