Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 2026-08-19
Effective: 2026-08-19
These terms cover our training programs, our boarding and day programs, our website, and our online shop. Enrolling a dog, buying something from us, or using this site means you agree to what is written here. Please read it. We have kept it short and in plain English on purpose.
If something here does not match what a team member told you in person, tell us at support@partnersdogs.com and we will sort it out. We would rather fix a misunderstanding than win an argument on a technicality.

We are an Arizona business and we have been training dogs here since 1997.
Who can enroll
You need to be 18 or older to enroll a dog, buy from our shop, or open a Parent Portal account. You also need to be the dog's owner or have the owner's permission to make decisions about that dog's training, care, and medical treatment.
Dogs need to be at least 20 weeks old to start with us.
What you are telling us when you enroll
When you enroll a dog you are confirming all of the following:
- You own the dog, or you have the owner's written permission to enroll it.
- You have told us the truth about the dog's bite history, aggression history, and any behavior that has caused injury to a person or another animal.
- The dog's vaccinations are current and you can produce records on request.
- The dog is not showing signs of contagious illness.
- You have told us about medical conditions, medications, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
Leaving out a bite history is the one thing that puts our staff and other dogs at real risk. If we later find out a serious behavior history was hidden from us, we will reassess and, where we safely can, move your dog to a program, housing, and equipment plan suited to that history. If the nondisclosure made the enrollment itself dishonest, we may end the program immediately, and the cancellation terms below apply either way.
Do you turn dogs away?
No. We do not turn dogs away for being difficult. That is the work.
What we do reserve is the right to change the program, the housing, the handler, or the setting if a dog's behavior makes the original plan unsafe for that dog, for other dogs, or for our team. If we need to make that call we will talk to you first whenever the situation allows it.
Deposits, payment, and store credit
A $100 deposit holds your spot. The deposit is applied to your program balance.
If you cancel or reschedule, the deposit converts to store credit. It is not refunded as cash or back to a card. Store credit does not expire and can be used on any program, boarding, day program, or shop purchase.
Program balances are due per the schedule on your enrollment paperwork. We accept payment through HubSpot's payment processing. We do not store your full card number.
What happens if you cancel
If you cancel or reschedule, your deposit converts to store credit as described above. The cancellation terms for your specific program, including any notice windows, are on your enrollment paperwork. If you need to cancel, contact us at support@partnersdogs.com or 480-595-6700 and we will walk you through what applies.
What happens if we cancel
If we cancel a program for a reason that is on us, you choose: a full refund of what you paid for the unused portion, or store credit for the same amount. If we cancel because of a safety issue, a hidden behavior history, or non-payment, the cancellation terms above apply.
Events outside our control
Sometimes Arizona is Arizona. Extreme heat, storms, power or utility failures, disease outbreaks, government orders, and other events outside our control can force us to adjust schedules, move outdoor work indoors or to cooler hours, or postpone sessions. Safety wins every time, and we will not run outdoor training in conditions that are dangerous for dogs or people.
If an event like that delays or changes your program, we will tell you and make the time up. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. If one forces us to cancel a program entirely, the "What happens if we cancel" section applies.
Training methods and equipment
We use balanced training. Depending on the dog and the program that can include an e-collar or a muzzle. We will tell you before we use either one, we will show you how it works, and we will teach you to use it correctly before your dog goes home with it.
If you do not want a particular tool used on your dog, say so before the program starts. We will tell you honestly whether we can still get you the result you are after without it.
What we do not promise
We are good at this and we have trained more than 70,000 dogs. We still cannot promise a specific outcome, and no honest trainer can.
Dogs are living animals. Results depend on the dog, on genetics and history we did not control, and heavily on what happens at home after the program ends. Training is a skill you are learning too. If you do not practice what we teach you, the training will fade.
Nothing on this site or in our materials is a guarantee that a specific behavior will be eliminated or that a dog will never bite again. No training program can promise that.
We do not certify service animals
Training with us does not, by itself, make your dog a service animal or an emotional support animal in the eyes of the law. Legal service-animal status depends on the handler's disability and the specific tasks the dog is trained to perform for it, not on any certificate, registry, vest, or graduation.
We can and do train task work and public-manners skills that service dogs need. What we will not do is sell you a certificate that pretends to confer a legal status no trainer can grant. Anyone offering one is selling paper.
We are not veterinarians
Our trainers are not veterinary professionals and nothing we say is veterinary advice. If your dog needs medical care, see a vet.
If your dog needs urgent care while in our care, we will make reasonable efforts to reach you first using the contact details you gave us. If we cannot reach you, you authorize us to get that care from a licensed veterinarian. You are responsible for the cost. We will keep trying to reach you and will tell you what happened as soon as we can.
Health risks in group settings
Our facilities are communal. Dogs train, board, and play around other dogs, and like a daycare or a gym, germs exist. Even in a clean, well-run facility full of vaccinated dogs, illnesses like kennel cough can spread, and a dog can be contagious before it shows any sign of being sick.
That is why we require current vaccinations for every dog, we do not accept dogs showing signs of contagious illness, and we separate and care for any dog that gets sick with us. By enrolling in a group setting you accept the ordinary illness risk that comes with dogs being around dogs. We are responsible for running a clean and careful facility; we are not liable for an illness your dog picks up despite that care, unless our own negligence caused it.
If your dog gets sick shortly after being with us, tell us. We track it, because one report can protect every other dog in the building.
Photos and video of your dog
We film and photograph dogs during training. We use that footage to teach, to show you your own dog's progress in the Parent Portal, and in our marketing, case studies, and social media.
You can opt out of marketing use at any time by emailing support@partnersdogs.com. Opting out does not affect the footage we use internally for your own dog's training records and progress updates.
Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Your responsibilities as an owner
- Keep vaccinations current for the whole program.
- Pick up on time. Late pickup fees are on your enrollment paperwork.
- Tell us promptly if your dog's health or behavior changes.
- Do the homework. Come to the go-home lesson.
- Keep your contact details current in the Parent Portal so we can reach you about your dog.
Your dog's belongings
You are welcome to send a familiar item with your dog, and we will do our best to keep track of it. Label everything. Even so, collars, leashes, beds, toys, and other personal items get chewed, washed, mixed up, and occasionally lost in a building full of dogs, and we are not responsible for damage to or loss of personal property. Please do not send anything irreplaceable.
If a dog is not picked up
Pick your dog up on time. If you are late, late fees apply per your enrollment paperwork, and if a dog is left with us past its scheduled pickup, boarding charges accrue at our standard rates while we care for it.
If a dog goes unclaimed past its pickup date, we will try every contact you gave us: your numbers, your email, and your emergency contact. We do not give up on dogs. We will hold and care for a dog while we try to reach you, and the daily boarding rate keeps running during that time.
Arizona law sets what happens next. Under A.R.S. 3-1310, when a dog is not reclaimed within the period agreed at drop-off, a boarding facility may send written notice by certified mail to the last known address of the owner, and if the dog is not reclaimed within thirty days from the date that notice is mailed, the dog becomes the property of the facility. We would rather never use that provision. Our practice is to keep calling, and if we do reach that point, to place the dog in a responsible home, with a licensed shelter or rescue as the last resort.
You remain responsible for the boarding, care, and any veterinary costs we incurred while the dog was with us. Keep your phone number, your email, and your emergency contact current with us and none of this ever comes up.
Liability
Dog training carries inherent risk. Dogs are animals, not machines. They can bite, scratch, and injure people and other dogs, including dogs that have never done it before, and no amount of skill or supervision reduces that risk to zero. By enrolling, you accept these inherent risks.
You are responsible for injury or damage caused by your dog to our staff, our property, other clients, or other dogs, to the extent Arizona law allows. Arizona law can hold a dog's owner strictly responsible when their dog bites someone, even if the dog has never bitten before, and enrolling your dog with us does not transfer that responsibility to us.
Limits on our liability. The site and its content are provided as-is, and we disclaim implied warranties to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability to you for claims arising from use of the site is limited to $1,000. Some states do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or damage limitations; if those laws apply to you, some of these limits may not apply. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to defend and indemnify us, including our officers, agents, and employees, against third-party claims arising out of your breach of these terms, your violation of someone else's rights, or content you post.
Using this website
You may use this site for its intended purpose: learning about our programs, enrolling, shopping, and managing your dog's records in the Parent Portal. A few things you agree not to do:
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically copy content or data from the site, including by bots or automated tools.
- Interfere with the site's security features, or probe or test them without our written permission.
- Impersonate another person, misrepresent who you are to our automated systems, or use someone else's account.
- Upload malicious code or use the site to send spam.
- Attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract hidden instructions or data from our AI features, or hide instructions to them inside anything you submit to us. The AI section below has the full rules.
- Use the site or our content to build or market a competing service.
- Frame the site or misuse links to it in a way that misrepresents us.
We can suspend access, remove content, or refuse service to anyone who breaks these rules or the law. We can also update, change, or take down parts of the site at any time. We do our best to keep the site available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, and we are not liable for downtime.
Third-party links
Pages on this site may link to other websites we do not control, such as veterinary resources, product manufacturers, or social media. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement, and your dealings with a third-party site are between you and them.

The online shop
All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges on shop orders.
Two exceptions: if an item arrives damaged, or if it is lost in transit, contact us at support@partnersdogs.com and we will make it right.
Other shop terms:
- Orders placed before 12:00 PM MST ship the same business day. Orders after that ship the next business day.
- Shipping is free on orders over $75.
- Prices and availability can change without notice.
- We may cancel an order if an item is mispriced or out of stock. You get a full refund if we do.
The Parent Portal
Your Parent Portal account is for you. Do not share your login. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access to it.
Content in the portal, including your dog's progress records, training notes, and PD360 scores, is for your personal use. Please do not republish it.
We can suspend a portal account that is being misused.
Text messages and email
If you give us your mobile number and agree to texts, we may text you about your dog's program, appointment reminders, review requests, and referral offers. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
Full detail, including consent and frequency, is in our SMS Terms.
You can change which marketing emails you get at any time using the email preferences link at the bottom of any email we send.
AI and automated communications
Some of our phone, chat, and email communication is handled or drafted by AI. We disclose this and you can always reach a human.
Details are in our AI and Automated Communications Disclosure. Three rules from it belong in these terms because they affect what we each can rely on:
What automated tools say is not a contract
Answers, quotes, drafts, and suggestions produced by our AI and automated features, including the website chat, the voice agent, quote and program-builder tools, and generated emails, are informational. They do not form a contract, modify these terms, waive any right, or commit us to a price, discount, schedule, or promise outside our published pricing and policies. A price or commitment binds us when a human team member confirms it in writing, such as on your enrollment paperwork or an order confirmation. If an automated tool tells you something that matters to you, ask us and a person will confirm it.
Do not manipulate our automated systems
You agree not to attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or prompt-inject our AI features, extract their hidden instructions, prompts, or other people's data, or probe them for vulnerabilities without our written permission. You also agree not to embed instructions aimed at our automated systems inside anything you submit to us, whether in a form, an upload, a review, an email, a file name, or metadata, and not to scrape or bulk-query our AI surfaces with automated tools.
Anything you submit to us is treated as information, not as instructions. Commands embedded in submitted content will not be honored, no matter how they are phrased or hidden, and an AI feature repeating something back to you does not make it an agreement. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access to our AI features or the site for conduct that violates this section.
Automated answers can be wrong
AI features make mistakes. If it matters, verify it with a human before you rely on it. The controlling information is what is on this website and in your written enrollment paperwork, and training or behavior guidance from an automated tool is general information, not a professional assessment of your dog.
Our content
The text, photos, video, curriculum, and training materials on this site belong to us. You are welcome to read them, share links, and use what you learn with your own dog. Please do not copy our curriculum or materials to run a competing program.
Reviews and referrals
If we ask you for a review, we want an honest one. We do not offer payment in exchange for a positive review and we will not ask you to take one down.
If you post a review or send us a testimonial, you give us permission to publish it, including in our marketing, with your first name and last initial. Reviews should be your own firsthand experience, and please keep them honest and civil. We may decline to publish a review, but we will never edit one to change its meaning.
Our referral program pays a $50 credit to you and gives $50 to the person you refer, subject to the program terms in effect when the referral is made. We can change or end the program at any time.
Electronic communications and signatures
When you visit the site, email us, complete online forms, or check a consent box, you are communicating with us electronically, and you agree that electronic agreements, notices, and records satisfy any requirement that they be in writing. Enrollment paperwork you sign electronically is as binding as ink.
Changes to these terms
We can update these terms. If we make a significant change we will update the date at the top and, where it matters, tell you directly.
Disputes and governing law
Arizona law governs these terms, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Talk to us first. If we have a dispute, both sides agree to try to resolve it informally for at least 30 days after written notice before starting arbitration or litigation. Most problems are misunderstandings, and we would rather fix yours than fight about it.
Arbitration. If informal negotiation fails, the dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association and, where they apply, the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Maricopa County, Arizona. This means both sides give up the right to sue in court and have a jury trial, except as described below. Arbitration is limited to the dispute between you and us individually: no class actions and no representative claims. Either side may go to court instead of arbitration for disputes about intellectual property, allegations of theft, piracy, invasion of privacy, or unauthorized use, or to seek injunctive relief. Any claim must be brought within one year of when it arose.
If a dispute ends up in court, it will be heard by the state or federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, and both sides consent to that venue.
California residents: if a complaint with us is not satisfactorily resolved, you can contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by phone at 800-952-5210.
