Emma Badoni
Boarding Manager and Class Instructor at Partners Dog Training in Scottsdale, where dogs stay comfortable and keep progressing
About Emma
Hi, I'm Emma, the Boarding Manager and a Class Instructor at Partners Dog Training. Before joining Partners I worked in animal shelters, veterinary clinics, and boarding and daycare facilities, and that background taught me how to read a dog quickly and keep them calm and cared for when they are away from home.
In my three years here I have worked with a wide range of breeds and training needs, both in the boarding kennel and in the classroom, and every dog has added to what I know. Whether I'm managing daily boarding care, teaching a class, or working directly with a dog in training, my focus is creating a safe, supportive environment where every guest feels at home and keeps learning.
What Emma loves
Favorite programsI love learning from every dog I work with, then helping their family enjoy a calmer, more reliable life at home.
Training Philosophy
I follow the balanced approach Partners is known for, personalized to the dog in front of me and to where we are in working a behavior. That means moving through four clear stages, Teaching, Reinforcing, Proofing, and Maintenance, so a new skill is introduced patiently, built into a habit, tested around real distractions, and then held for the long run. I stay open-minded about the methods and tools we use, because the right plan is the one that gives this dog the best result and gives the family a calmer, more reliable life together.
Ideal Client & Goals
My favorite clients are the ones who enter the training experience with an open mind and a readiness to put in consistent effort. I love partnering with owners who are constantly seeking to grow and develop alongside their dog, and who are excited to take what we practice in class and apply it to real-life situations every day.
Experience
I grew up with dogs, and before Partners I worked in animal shelters, veterinary clinics, and boarding and daycare facilities. In my three years here I have trained and taught a wide spectrum of breeds with very different needs, both in the boarding kennel and in the classroom, which has deepened my knowledge and sharpened how I care for and train each dog.
Favorite moment: My favorite training moments are Graduation Days, when both dog and owner are ready to take on the world together. Watching them walk out of the facility with the confidence and skill learned in camp is what it's all about.
