    About Nicole

Hi, I'm Nicole! I'm the DaySchool Manager at our Scottsdale (Shea) location, and I'm also a trainer and a Pet Parenting Class instructor. My days are spent making sure every dog in our care is safe, happy, and learning something, whether that's a puppy taking its first steps toward good manners or an older dog building confidence around other dogs and people.

I've been with Partners for five years now, and in that time I've worked with hundreds of dogs on everything from foundational obedience and everyday manners to reactivity. I teach our Pre-School Puppy and High School Pet Parenting Classes and help families prepare for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. My goal is to make communication clear, effective, and fun for both you and your dog, so training becomes something the whole family enjoys.

    Training Philosophy

I use balanced training and personalize it to the dog in front of me, because no two dogs learn the same way. I move each dog through the same four stages: Teaching a new skill clearly, Reinforcing it until it becomes a habit, Proofing it against real-world distractions, and Maintenance so it holds up for life. That structure is what turns a promising session into reliable manners you can count on at home, on a walk, or in a room full of people. My goal is always the same, a dog that is confident and easy to live with, and an owner who feels in control and at ease.

    Ideal Client & Goals

My favorite families are the ones who want to be hands-on and stay involved in their dog's training. I love a dog that gives me something to work with, whether that is a smart puppy who learns fast or a reactive dog who needs patience and a plan. I enjoy showing owners just how intelligent their dog really is, and I welcome a challenge, because those are often the dogs whose progress means the most to the family waiting at home.

    Experience

I've been with Partners Dog Training for five years, and six years in the dog industry overall. I've worked with hundreds of dogs, from foundational obedience and everyday manners to reactivity cases. Alongside managing our Day School at the Shea location, I teach group Pet Parenting Classes and help owners prepare their dogs for the Canine Good Citizen test.

Favorite moment: My favorite moments are when a dog and its owner suddenly start to click, and you can see the whole household about to get calmer and easier.
