Rachel Woods
Cave Creek instructor who helps dogs build confidence through calm, consistent guidance
About Rachel
Hi, I'm Rachel, and I train out of our Cave Creek location. I love helping dogs and their owners build a better relationship, and I believe training should be clear, consistent, and something both the dog and the owner actually enjoy. In my two years with Partners I've worked across Foundation Camp, Group Classes, and Snake Avoidance, and I've built up a track record of 4,561 dogs trained.
I especially love working with dogs who need a little extra guidance, and there is nothing better than watching their confidence grow. Like every trainer at Partners, I use the same balanced method, so a dog's progress with me carries into DaySchool, DayCamp, or boarding without starting over.
What Rachel loves
Favorite programsIt's all about confidence, baby.
Training Philosophy
A dog that feels calm and understood learns faster than one that is only pushed harder.
Ideal Client & Goals
My ideal client is someone who is willing to be involved and consistent with their dog's training. My goal is to give owners the tools and understanding they need to communicate clearly with their dog, while helping the dog become more confident, well-mannered, and reliable in everyday life.
Experience
I've been with Partners Dog Training for two years, working out of our Cave Creek location across Foundation Camp, Group Classes, and Snake Avoidance. My focus areas are manners, confidence, and socialization, and I love helping dogs who need a little extra guidance find their footing.
Favorite moment: One of my favorite parts of training is seeing the difference in a dog once they start to understand what I'm teaching them. Watching things finally click and seeing their confidence grow is so rewarding.
Work with RachelQuestions About Rachel
Start by practicing in a low-distraction environment and slowly increasing distractions as your dog improves. Keep treats on hand so you can reward your dog for listening, and make sure they understand that listening to you is rewarding.
It's never too early or too late to start. The earlier you build good habits and communication, the easier it is to set your dog up for success.
Dogs don't always understand that the rules apply everywhere. Practicing in different environments helps them learn to listen and understand what's expected of them no matter where they are.
