Sarah Rogers
Executive Assistant and Manager who keeps every detail behind Partners Dog Training running smoothly
About Sarah
I started at Partners Dog Training in June of 2014 as a Trainer working with our Camp dogs. Since then I have worked nearly every role on our team, from the front desk at Cave Creek to hiring, retail, sales, Snake Avoidance, doggy daycare, teaching Pet Parenting Classes, assisting Foundational Obedience classes, and even construction, including helping build out our Scottsdale location.
Today my focus is behind the scenes: payroll, reception at our Scottsdale location, personal assistant to Leighton, retail management, and making sure our staff always has what they need to keep things running smoothly for every dog and family who walks through our doors.
I have had dogs my whole life, and at 19 I knew I wanted to do something to help them. I started as a Reserve Officer with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, then found my way to Partners. Twelve-plus years later, it is still the best job I have ever had.
What Sarah loves
Favorite programsTraining Philosophy
My job is to make sure everything behind the scenes runs the way it should, so our trainers and staff can focus on the dogs and families in front of them. From payroll to retail to keeping the Scottsdale front desk covered, I want every person on our team to have what they need the moment they need it. I got my start training Camp dogs and teaching Pet Parenting Classes, and that foundation still shapes how I think about this place: every role here, even the ones behind a desk, exists to help a dog and their family succeed.
Experience
I have been with Partners Dog Training for over twelve years, starting as a Trainer in 2014 and growing into my current role as Executive Assistant and Manager. Along the way I have worked the front desk, hiring, retail, sales, Snake Avoidance, doggy daycare, Pet Parenting Classes, and assisting Foundational Obedience classes. Before Partners, I managed a Sonic restaurant for five years, worked as a nanny for ten years, taught fitness group classes, and worked as a barista and bartender.
Favorite moment: When my Yorkie, Coco, finally landed the A-frame and the jump obstacle in Agility.
