Lexi Head
Instructor at Partners Dog Training who turns everyday dogs into calm, confident family members
About Lexi
Hi, I'm Lexi, an Instructor at Partners Dog Training. I moved to Arizona on my own at 19 and found my calling working with dogs, and I have not looked back since. What drives me every day is watching a dog and their family go from frustrated and uncertain to relaxed and connected. That change is the best part of this job.
I care about the whole picture, the dog and the people who love them. My goal is to help you build a real relationship with your dog, the kind where good manners feel natural and life at home feels easy. I want you walking away knowing how to keep the progress going long after our time together.
Watching a dog and their family find their calm together is the most rewarding part of my day.
Specialties & Programs
Training Philosophy
I train the balanced way we teach at Partners, meeting each dog where they are and adjusting to the stage of the work. We start by Teaching a new skill clearly, then Reinforcing it until it is consistent, then Proofing it against real distractions, and finally Maintenance so it holds up for the long run. I match the tools and approach to the dog in front of me, because no two dogs learn the same way. The point is not just a dog who behaves in a training session. It is a dog who fits your normal life, at home, on a walk, and around other people.
Ideal Client & Goals
My favorite clients are the ones who share my values and want to build a genuine relationship with their dog. When you are involved and invested, I get to do what I love most, which is show you real affection for your dog while giving you the skills to keep them thriving. Bring me a family ready to put in the effort, and together we will get you a dog who is calmer, more confident, and easier to live with.
Experience
I have spent three years in the dog world, managing daycares for two of those years and training for close to one. That daycare background gave me a deep feel for socialization, canine body language, and how dogs learn to be comfortable and confident around others, and I carry all of it into my training work at Partners.
