    About Sophie

Hi, I'm Sophie, and I love animals through and through. I'm part of the animal care team at our Scottsdale campus, where I have worked with 1,130 dogs and logged 5,496 behaviors through DaySchool and DayCamp. My focus every day is making sure each dog gets the right mix of play, rest, and attention, not just a place to pass the time.

I'm especially drawn to helping dogs work through reactivity, confidence, and other tricky everyday behaviors, and I love being part of our snake avoidance program. Watching a dog settle in and feel more sure of themselves is what keeps me showing up.

    Training Philosophy

I believe balance is everything, both in a dog's day and in how we work through tough behaviors. Whether it is building confidence, working through reactivity, or just making sure a dog gets the right mix of play and rest, I want every dog in my care to leave feeling calmer and more sure of themselves than when they arrived.

    Ideal Client & Goals

I work best with Scottsdale owners who want a dependable, attentive presence for their dog during the day, not just a place to wait out the hours. If your dog is working through reactivity, needs a confidence boost, or is enrolled in our snake avoidance program, I want to be the one keeping an eye on how they are doing. I am just as glad to look after a dog who simply needs a steady mix of play and rest through DaySchool or DayCamp.

    Experience

My love for animals started young. My dad is a vet, so I grew up around dogs and cats from the time I was six, tagging along on house calls and helping out however I could, from cleaning kennels to walking dogs to working the front desk. That early exposure is part of why I care so much about getting the details right today.

I am part of the animal care team at our Scottsdale campus, where I have worked with 1,130 dogs and logged 5,496 behaviors through DaySchool and DayCamp. That day-to-day work is where I have built my focus on reactivity, confidence building, and other everyday behavior challenges, and it is also where I take part in our snake avoidance program. My job is making sure every dog gets the right balance of play, rest, and attention, and that owners can trust their dog is genuinely being looked after, not just watched.

Favorite moment: My favorite part of this job is snake avoidance training. There is nothing like watching a dog learn to steer clear of danger and knowing their family can relax a little more because of it.
